Jacqueline Kennick
Jax is a Research Specialist at ASCENT Lab at the University of South Carolina (USC) studying infant attention, motor abilities, and word learning in pre-term and full-term infants.
Before joining USC, Jax earned her B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Neuroscience from the University of Chicago. She conducted research under Dr. Amanda Woodward, a specialist in developmental psychology. Jax’s undergraduate thesis, carried out with Dr. Susan C. Levine, a specialist in the development of mathematical thinking, tested the efficacy of a fraction intervention for elementary school children.
She plans to go to medical school in the future.
